AWANA The acronym AWANA come from the first letters of the phrase, “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15). Awana exists to reach children and youth with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. All children ages 3 - eighth grade are encouraged to attend. Each club meeting is comprised of four segments: opening ceremony, game time, handbook time, and council time. The clubs for children are Cubbies: ages 3 - 4; Sparks: Kindergarten - Second Graders; Truth and Training (T & T), 3rd - 6th Graders; and Junior Varsity (JV), 7th - 8th Graders. Qualifications of an AWANA leader: must be saved, be walking with the Lord, be in compliance with the purpose statement of the church, and be open to and desirous of spiritual growth. |
CHILDREN’S CHURCH Children’s Church is a “church for children” led by leaders who love the Lord and seek to help the children love, trust, and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Children’s Church begins directly after Sunday School on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Ages four through second grade attend children’s church in the red building directly behind the church. The children are picked up by their parents immediately after the worship service.
